Cheyenne’s Six-Month check-up

Sep-29-2008 By Daddy

Today was Cheyenne’s six month check-up with the pediatrician. She is now 14 pounds, 6.5 ounces, and 26.5 inches long! She is growing very well, and keeping up with the growth curve. The doctor was very pleased. He even took her off of the preemie formula she has been eating since we brought her home. She had been eating Similac Neosure, but now will take Similac Advanced.

On a not-so-positive note, Cheyenne does have an ear infection. She has to take a course of antibiotics to clear it up. She had been fussy lately and not sleeping as well, so we thought she was still having trouble teething. But, unfortunately, it was an ear infection. She hadn’t really shown the typical symptoms, so we didn’t suspect that. She has to return to the pediatrician in 10 days for a follow-up.

Overall, he was quite satisfied, which we were happy to hear!

Here are a couple of recent pictures of Cheyenne from a few days ago. We took her to the apple orchard to pick apples, and she had a blast!

Six Months Old Already!?!?

Sep-19-2008 By Daddy

Cheyenne is already six months old! She is doing so well. She is healthy and happy, and growing like a weed! We are so blessed that God answered all of the prayers offered on her behalf, and we are humbled that He saw fit to help her (and us!).

This is a recent picture of Cheyenne taken with her cousin Skylar.

We were able to take Cheyenne to see my grandparents for the first time last weekend. They really enjoyed getting to meet her, and Cheyenne got along very well with them, despite feeling a little under the weather.

We took a lot of pictures that I hope to be able to post soon, but in the meantime, please enjoy the video of Cheyenne and her great-grandpa. He was singing to her, and it was just a priceless moment that I am fortunate to have captured on video. Please ignore the background conversations and just focus on the two of them. :)
