Cheyenne’s World

Last Saturday, we drove up to Lake Erie, which really is pretty close to our home. Nikki and I found a state park up there a couple of years ago, and we returned there on Saturday. The weather was overcast all morning, and even rained for a little bit, but it cleared up beautifully in the late morning and early afternoon. The only drawback to it clearing up was that more people started to come to the beach, and the negative things that come along with that. We stayed until our little part of the beach started to get overrun, and then drove home. It was a nice family trip that didn’t require much gasoline (nice @ $4/gallon!) and Cheyenne really seemed to enjoy herself. She was really fascinated watching the waves roll up to the beach and feel the breeze coming in off the water. All in all, a very nice day!

Happy third-month birthday to our sweet Cheyenne! In some ways, its hard to believe she’s three months old already, and in other ways, all the trouble she went through seems like a lifetime ago.

I wanted to put up a few pictures starting from the beginning all the way up to, and including, today. I will admit that it was difficult looking at her old pictures from the hospital, but I’m ok now.

I can’t make the program that runs this site cooperate the way I want, so the first picture is (obviously) when she was still in the hospital, the second is the day we brought her home, and the last is from today!

I can’t believe we are over 10,000 hits on this site already. It is humbling that so many people were, and remain, so interested. Thank you!
